This was made known by counsel to Hon Justice Olusengun Tokode, Mr. Wemimo Ogunde SAN. The case with Suit No:(FHC/ABJ/CS/1240/17) was brought challenging the constitutional validity of the recommendations of the NJC to the President against him. According to the statement released by the learned silk, the judge desires a public opportunity for his “reprehensible” and “dishonest” acts regarding his appointment to be examined by a court of law. In his words: “The NJC has been served. I must add that that I believe in his innocence and that he did nothing heinous or reprehensible.” Speaking further he noted that all that many of their colleagues know about the case are the facts the NJC through Mr. Soji Oye has said through a press release. According to him, his client is yet to receive from the NJC the findings of the investigation committee almost one week after NJC went to the press to make public its recommendations. Noting that maybe this was done to show him how “heinous” his conduct was. To him it is enough fighting in the dark as he that doeth truth cometh to the light that his deeds may be made manifest.]]>
