The Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has commended the retiring Chief Judge of the State, Justice Peter Nanna Chukwudi Umeadi who is retiring voluntarily from service, as the head of the judiciary arm of government in the state.
The governor in a letter dated December 10th, 2018; noted that Justice Umeadi had distinguished himself as a man of great honour and integrity, who dispensed justice without fear or favour.
Chief Obiano said that Anambra State judiciary under the leadership of Justice Umeadi in the past seven years attained an enviable height in the discharge of it’s responsibilities to the public.
While wishing Honorable Justice Peter Umeadi a very happy retirement, after over two decades of unblemished and meritorious service in the state High Court, the governor prayed for God’s blessings in all his future endeavors.
It could be recalled that the National Judicial Council NJC had on 5th of October 2018, accepted the notice of voluntary retirement from office, forwarded to the council by the Chief Judge of Anambra State since 18th July, 2018.
His retirement takes effect from Thursday 28th February 2019.CJ 2
