Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, has described the rainstorm which killed two people and rendered several others homeless as an act of God. Governor Abubakar, who stated this on Sunday when he went round the Bauchi metropolises to ascertain the level of destruction caused by the windstorm sympathized with the people who lost their relatives, homes, and properties as a result of the disaster. He called on the communities to regard the incident as an act of God. The Governor said the aim of his visit was to see for himself the level of damages as a result of the disaster. Governor Abubakar also said his administration would do its best to assist those affected by the incident. The areas visited by the state governor included Miri, BATV, and Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic. Other: are Kobi street, Railway road, Tirwun and Bakin Kura streets all in the Bauchi. The Governor was accompanied by the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, other top government officials. Meanwhile, the Bauchi state communication coordinator of Red Cross Hajia Asma’u Tijjani Umar, said the level of devastation in the disaster was alarming. Speaking with journalists on the incident, Hajia Asma’u Umar said immediately after the occurrence of the incidence, the society swung into action to give first aid to the affected people and communities in the state capital. She called on the affected people to give out information to relevant organizations to enable them to compile the losses incurred in the disaster.]]>
