Chief Emeka J. P. Obegolu, FICMC, FCIArb (UK) was recently elected the President of Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU). The Pan Africa Lawyer Union has elected new Executive Committee to steer the affairs of the union for the next three (3) years being 2018 t0 2020. This was done at the General Meeting of PALU held on Saturday 29th, September. The members elected Chief Emeka Jude Phillipe Obegolu, former NBA General Secretary as President. Emeka Obegolu replaced Elijah Banda SC, a lawyer from Zambia, who led the organization from 2014 to 2018 The newly elected Executive Committee consists of:

  Before his election, Chief Obegolu was the Vice President of PALU. Chief Emeka J. P. Obegolu is currently the president of Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC). Early on February, 2018, he was appointed the Chairman of the Governing Council of Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) Dispute Resolution Centre and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Centre as well by the President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, (ACCI) Prince Adetokunbo Adeyinka Kayode (CON, SAN, FCIArb). The Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU) is a continental membership forum for African lawyers and lawyers’ associations. PALU was founded in 2002, by African Bar leaders and eminent lawyers, to reflect the aspirations and concerns of the African people and to promote and defend their shared interests.
