Dr. Ajibade Pays Tribute To Late Co-Founder Of Lawyard, Adavize Alao

Managing Partner of SPA Ajibade & Co., Dr Babatunde Ajibade, SAN has paid glowing tribute to the late co-founder of Lawyard, Adavize Alao for his immense contribution to the development of the legal profession especially in the area of privacy and data protection law.

The Learned Silk who was the special guest at the Lawyard/Adavize Alao essay competition and symposium on privacy and data protection held on Thursday, 7th November 2019, urged the participants to emulate the late Alao who through his commitment and dedication to scholarship made a mark in the field of privacy and data protection.

” I want to commend Tobi Adebowale and the entire Lawyard team for organizing this event to honour the late Adavize Alao in order to preserve his legacy and the remarkable work he did in the field of privacy and data protection law in Nigeria” Dr Ajiabde said.

” I also congratulate the winners in the various categories and implore you all to continue to work hard to distinguish yourselves in your chosen areas of specialisation” he added.

Winner of the Law Student category of the competition recieved a prize of #50,000 ( Fifty Thousand Naira) while the winner in the Young Lawyer category recieved a prize of #100,000( One Hundred Thousand Naira).

The essay competition and symposium was organised to significantly increase awareness about privacy rights, provide business (especially in the data-driven technology sector) with the relevant knowledge to ensure compliance with regulations on privacy and data protection.
