Thenigerialawyer gathered that the former Chief of Naval Staff during the administration of General Sani Abacha was arrested by operatives of the anti-graft commission in Abuja, for allegedly laundering about $600,000 through his accounts. A source informed that he was quizzed for some hours by EFCC operatives before being granted administrative bail by the commission, while his international passport was said to have been seized from him. A reliable source within the commission confirmed the arrest of former military governor of the Anambra and Imo states between 1984 and 1986 to the Thenigerialawyer. “It is true Admiral Allison Madueke (retd) was arrested by the commission today (Wednesday),” the source revealed.
