The former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Abuja Branch, Desmond Yamah, has welcomed the National Leadership of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) and her members to the FCT, on the occasion of her Annual Conference holding in Abuja.
Desmond Yamah said FIDA has risen to the occasion whenever called upon in the defence of the vulnerable and exposed persons in society.
“I strongly believe that FIDA has a genuine cause and should be supported by all to achieve her core objectives.
“I challenge FIDA to use the opportunity of this year’s conference to engage burning issues in our national polity with a view to finding lasting solutions to societal problems facing the female lawyers, particularly the younger generation.
“I pray that God Almighty will give you hhe courage to take positions that will impact our society positively.
“I join the Federation of International Women Lawyers to say NO to all forms of abuses to the WOMAN.
