The government of Delta State has commenced payment of financial assistance to the Delta state students in the Nigerian Law. The announcement was made by the Director of Information, Paul Usahor, JP, Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board and made available to TheNigeraLawyer (TNL).

The Director of information said Shortlisted students in the Nigerian Law Schools during the 2017/2018 academic session who have been cleared will be paid from May 28, 2019, while those who are yet to be cleared are to come to the Board’s office along Anwai Road, Asaba from May 28, 2019, with their original credentials.

The announcement reads:

GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

PAYMENT OF 2017/2018 FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO DELTA STATE STUDENTS IN THE NIGERIAN LAW SCHOOL

It is hereby announced for the information of the general public particularly Students of Delta State origin in the Nigerian Law School, that the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board has commenced the payment of Financial Assistance to Students of Delta State origin in the Nigeria Law Schools.

Shortlisted students in the Nigerian Law Schools during the 2017/2018 academic session who have been cleared will be paid from May 28, 2019, while those who are yet to be cleared are to come to the Board’s office along Anwai Road, Asaba from May 28, 2019, with the following documents:

(a) Offer of Admission into Law School
(b) Letter of call to the Bar
(c) National ID Card/Voters Card
(d) Local Government of Origin,
(e) Original and Photocopies of above mentioned credentials should be presented.
Beneficiaries should check the POINTER Newspaper of May 27, 2019, and DAILY INDEPENDENT Newspaper of May 29, 2019, for confirmation of their names.

Accordingly, all shortlisted students of Delta State origin in Nigerian Law Schools are by this announcement advised to take note and act accordingly.
