With the assessment report by the Eti-Osa Lawyer’s Forum – ELF, the New Eti-Osa Court Complex located at Ajah-Addo Road, Eti-Osa Lagos will soon be completed and delivered to the State Government.

The Executive Members of the Eti-Osa Lawyers’ Forum led by her Chairman, Sanni M. M. A, went on an inspection of the new Court Complex project by the Lagos State Government located at Okeira Nla, along Ajah-Addo Road, Eti-Osa LGA, on the 25th of September 2019. Other members present were Abiye Tam George (Vice Chairman), Abioye Akerele (Secretary), Chinyere Nwaogu Akomor (Financial Secretary) and Saheed Sanni (Treasurer).

This was one of the regular visits since the commencement of construction in 2012, the last being in July 2019. The pace of development taking place at the complex is rapid, and it was observed that the Court Complex is at an advanced stage of completion, with a dedicated transformer and a 500kva generator delivered already to the site.
Members of the inspection team expressed delight at the Courts’ extensive air conditioning system.

Upon further inspection of the premises, the ELF were excited to discover that no attention has been spared to detail. Other features include a ramp for otherwise physically challenged users, a conference room, Lawyers’ Lounge, and an NBA Office. The Courtrooms, five in number, are well designed and apportioned to encourage efficiency in justice delivery.

From the top floor, the ELF were overwhelmed by the beauty of the panoramic view of the lagoon, which could be viewed from the rear side of the facility, especially from one of the courtrooms at the second floor. No one would have guessed this overwhelming scenery from the entrance /front view of the court which itself reveals an architectural masterpiece.

The beauty of the lagoon which stretches along communities in Eti-Osa all the way back to Lagos Island, Ikorodu and beyond remind all that the Court is located in Eti-Osa which literally means, “the banks of the river”.

The contractor was on hand to receive the Eti-Osa Lawyers Forum members, and expressed confidence in the company’s ability to hand over the completed project to the Lagos State Government in record time.

The Court Complex assesed to be at 90% completion and comprising High Courts and Magistrate Courts will no doubt be an additional landmark to the Ajah area as well as the entire Eti-Osa Local Government when opened. But more importantly, it will no doubt greatly enhance Justice delivery within and around the Eti-Osa environs.

By every indication, all is almost set for the commencement of the Eti-Osa Courts Complex which is expected to be designated as Eti-Osa Judicial Division in response to the yearnings of the people of Eti-Osa.
