The Bauchi State High Court has granted an interim order restraining Bauchi State Governor from assenting to the bill meant to repeal Public Property And Funds Recovery Tribunal Law of Bauchi State.

Sadeeq Umar Sarki Esq, Hon. Maryam Garba Bagel, Abubakar Ibrahim Garba,Esq, Hassan S. Saraki,Esq, Prison Inmate Development Intitiative, Concern Citizens Initiative For Sustainable Development Bauchi and Better Life Restoration Initiative had filed a Motion Exparte against the Bauchi State Government, Governor of Bauchi State, Speaker of Bauchi State House of Assembly, the Bauchi State House of Assembly, and the Attorney-General of Bauchi State.

The Motion was dated 20th day of May, 2019 and supported by 29 paragraphs Affidavit and Written Address.

Upon reading the Affidavit in support and other accompanying processes, and upon hearing Hassan S. Saraki ,the court granted an interim order restraining the Governor of Bauchi State, his servants, privies or any other authority deriving authorities from him from assenting to the bill for law to repeal Public Property And Funds Recovery Tribunal Law as enacted by the Bauchi State House of Assembly pending the determination of the Motion on Notice.
