Case Slated For Cross Examination. (Daddy Freeze mounts the witness box to be cross examined by Daddy GO) Daddy GO:            Do you know that Abraham paid tithe? Daddy Freeze:      Yes, he paid once and from the spoils of war. He gave the rest of the spoils of war to the king of Sodom (the rightful owner) and asked him to give the shares of the men that went to war with him to them. He didnt take any portion of the spoils of war because he didnt want the king of sodom to later say he made him rich. He institituted male circumcision and generalized it on all under him but not tithing. See Gen. 14:1-24 (particularly verse 20) Gen. 17:11-24. Daddy GO:            Just answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’. No stories, please! Daddy Freeze:      Okay sir. Daddy GO:            Do you know that Jacob paid tithe? Daddy Freeze:      No. I am not aware of that. Daddy GO:            What!!!!!!!! And you were running your mouth like you know the Bible? Daddy Freeze:      I am aware Jacob vowed to give a tenth (a tithe) of whatever he returns with from his uncle’s place – Laban – when he was running from his brother – Esau – under the guise of getting a wife for himself. The Bible did not reveal that he fulfilled that vow. Instead the Bible revealed that upon his return, he was trying to appease his brother with about half of his properties/possessions. See, Gen. 28:10-22, 32:6-20, 33:1-16. Was that the tithing? Plus don’t forget he was still known as a “supplanter” when he made that vow. So I won’t be surprised if he didn’t honour it. Daddy GO:            Shatttttap!!!! Who asked you for all these stories? My Lord, you have to come to my rescue, I feel hijacked! Kindly direct the witness to answer my question with only ‘yes’ or ‘no’. My Lord:               Witness, please answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’. Daddy Freeze:      Yes, my Lord. Daddy GO:            According to the Book of Malachi, are you aware of the curses that may befall you if you don’t pay your tithes? Daddy Freeze:      No. Daddy GO:            Hahahahahahaha…… you don’t mean it! How can you not be aware? Daddy Freeze:      I am only aware that by Malachi curses will follow you if I pay my tithes to you and you fail to take it to the storehouse (not diverting any part of it) and ensuring from the tithes collected there is always provisions in the house of God. Not that you collect tithes and there is still lack in the church. You still call for offerings for welfare for widows, orphans, etc. Even if a simple thing as a seat or toilet is lacking in church you still call for donations. How then can we say there is “meat” in God’s house from the tithes you collect if there is still lack here and there in the church? You collect offerings, tithes, seed faith, first fruits, everything collectible on daily and weekly basis and in spite of that one amongst you was caught on camera asking for 10 people with N1billion each to see his personal secretary. Daddy GO:            I am done with this divorcee and wife beater. My Lord:               No name calling, please Daddy GO face the issue. If you are done you can now take the witness box for Daddy Freeze to cross examine you. Daddy GO:            But my lord how can a sinner cross examine us? What does he know sef? My Lord:               Seriously? You did not realize that before submitting yourselves to this court and even cross examine him? You have had your own share of the bite.. you can’t deny him his chance. One of you should step into the witness box now! CROSS EXAMINATION OF DADDY GO Daddy Freeze:      Can I use my tithe to drink kai kai (gin) if that is what I desire? Daddy GO:            Deuteronomy 14 is the only thing you know about tithing, drunkard like you! My Lord:               No name calling. Daddy GO:            Sorry my lord. Daddy Freeze:      Do you feel there is contradiction between the book of Deuteronomy (written by Moses) and the book of Malachi on tithing? Daddy GO:            (Now speaking in tongues) Our God is not author of Confusion. The things of the spirit cannot be understood with carnal minds. My Lord:               Kindly answer the question. Daddy GO:            Can I answer ‘I don’t know’? Daddy Freeze:      (Laughing) In the hierarchy of prophets, is Malachi the same or greater than Moses? Daddy GO:            Ummmmmmm…… where is this going? My Lord:               Just answer the question. Daddy GO:            Moses is far greater. He spoke with God face to face and yet the meekest. See Num. 12:3-8. Daddy Freeze:      Good! So would you say that Malachi overruled Moses on tithing? Daddy GO:            (Thundering in tongues and very sweaty now) I have to fast and pray for 40days before I can answer that question, please. I seek an adjournment, my Lord (devising means to escape) Daddy Freeze:      (Smiling) No need for an adjournment… I can skip the question. My Lord:               Good, question skipped. Proceed with your cross examination. Daddy Freeze:      Did Jesus, our Lord, pay or collect tithe from anyone. Daddy GO:            He collected offerings. Judas was his treasurer. Daddy Freeze:      I didn’t ask you about offerings. Did Jesus pay or collect tithe from anyone? Daddy GO:            I am not aware. Daddy Freeze:      Did His Apostles collect or pay tithes to anyone? Daddy GO:            I am not aware. Daddy Freeze:      Are you aware that tithe is not important? Daddy GO:            hahahaha….. I know where you are heading to. That is the saying of our Lord Jesus in Mat. 23:23. Jesus did not say paying tithe in money is not important. Just that in the ranking of matters of law, tithing doesn’t rank as the most important. That is it! Daddy Freeze:      By that Mat.23:23 are you aware that our Lord Jesus placed a curse on those who tithe in mint (money) but fail to observe the weightier matters of the law? Daddy GO:            I am not a Pharisee or scribe mentioned therein. Jesus was talking to Scribes and Pharisees and not me. Daddy Freeze:      Since you are not the ‘Scribe’ or the ‘Pharisee’ of the New Testament Jesus was talking to, are you the ‘Levite’ the Old Testament was talking about as tithes collectors? Daddy GO:            I beg your pardon?!!!!]]>
