The African Women Lawyers Association, Rivers State Branch, has lauded the NBA President, Paul Usoro, SAN, who is gender sensitive for living up to his gender empowerment promise and nominating three top female lawyers recently appointed to the distinguished Body of Benchers.
TheNigerialawyer (TNL) recalls that during the Campaign of the NBA President, he made a commitment that lots of female lawyers who are willing to see that the bar is a better place will be engaged under his administration.
The Coordinator, African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA) Rivers State chapter, C. U. Eke (Mrs.) while celebrating the NBA on this innovative moves, congratulates Prof Joy Ezeilo, Lady Gloria Umoren and Olufunmi Oluyede on their appointment as Members of the Body of Benchers.
“We believe they would add immense value to the distinguished body.
“We also commend Mr. Paul Usoro for the following appointments: Mrs. Efe Etomi appointed into the National Judicial Council (NJC), Hajiya Safiya Balarabe appointed as a member of the National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Aisha Mohammed appointed as Member of the Presidential Committee on Drug Addiction, Iyabode Ogunseye appointed as a member of the Presidential Committee on the Reform of SARS, among several other appointments.
