Ebun Adegboruwa Esq., has just been appointed Chairman of the Justice Sector Program commission of the African Bar Association (AFBA). This was contained in the letter of appointment signed by the AFBA President, Hannibal Uwaifo (Nigeria) and the Secretary, Flavania Charles of Tanzania. The letter which was dated the 26th day of October 2018, and sighted by TNL reads that the development is in response to his nomination and recommendation by the Qualification Committee which found him eminently fit to hold this highly exalted position. The Justice Sector Commission is a new committee of AFBA and is aimed at tackling issues relating to Justice System in Africa and fashioning a blueprint model for continental Justice System that can stand the scrutiny of the best International Standard. The Commission has powers to advise AFBA and react on her behalf, publicly on burning issues. Furthermore, it is also expected among other things to seek sponsorships for its activities and programs as may be specified by the Executive Council from time to time. The appointment of Adegboruwa as Chairman of the new Committee is for a three years tenure and can be renewed by the President. TheNigerialawyer (TNL) therefore congratulates Mr. Adegboruwa for the well-deserved appointment.]]>
