Mr. Dokpesi is standing trial at a Federal High Court on Abuja on a six-count charge of fraud. He is accused of illegally receiving N2.1 billion from the office of the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki. The money, originally meant for purchase of arms for fight against Boko Haram, was allegedly spent for the 2015 elections. Mr. Jacobs, who is also the lead prosecutor in the ongoing trial of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, had written the defense counsel, Wole Olanikpekun, to inform him that he had another matter at the Supreme Court. He also asked the court to adjourn the hearing. The trial Judge, James Tsoho subsequently adjourned the matter to June 15.]]>
