The Technical Committee for Conference Planning of the Nigerian Bar Association us informing members of the legal Practitioners that there will be no onsite registration for the 2019 Annual General Conference of the Association.

In a statement by the Chair, TCCP-2019 AGC, Media & Publicity Sub-Committee, Kunle Edun obtained by TheNigerialawyer (TNL), the reason is to enable proper planning and to deliver a quality Conference.

“TCCP shall ensure that conferees receive their conference materials in due time and therefore,  would not be able to accommodate onsite registration.”

Greetings distinguished Publicists. We thank you for the positive image you have brought to the bar.

You are aware that the registration portal for the 2019 AGC would soon go into active mode with the commencement of registration by members. We envisage that many of the younger lawyers would take advantage of the early bird discount. It is the desire of TCCP to achieve a fair representation of all categories of lawyers.

We, therefore, crave the indulgence of our distinguished Publicists to assist in disseminating information and reminders regarding registration for the conference to senior colleagues. We note that some of the senior colleagues may not be adept at the use of social media tools and therefore not conversant with it. It is important that they also register early so that the Conference would be a good mix of lawyers of various ages at the bar.

Pls, note that payment for this year’s Conference is exclusively online and senior colleagues should be advised to take advantage of the early bird fees.

There shall be no payment on site (i.e. at Conference venue).

Going forward, I would be dropping messages more frequently and I would be glad if you disseminate same to members of your branches immediately upon receipt.

Thank you.

Kunle Edun
Chairman, TCCP-2019 AGC Media & Publicity Sub Committee.
