Elias Emeka Anosike and Habeeb Adedotun Adebayo- Adetunji who were not cleared by the Nigerian Bar Association Electoral Committee are calling on their supporters to remain calm as they are taking steps to contact the committee to inquire why the decision was taken. In a statement released by Mr Anosike to The Nigerian Lawyer (TNL) he said that he was devastated by the news of my non-clearance by the Electoral Committee of the NBA without any reason adduced. “I will formally write the ECNBA to demand for the reason for my non clearance and also appeal for a review of the decision. “In the meantime, I urge that we remain calm while I explore all available procedures to over turn the harsh decision of ECNBA. I thank you immensely for your prayers and kind support so far. “Together we can,” Mr. Anosike said. Mr. Habeeb Adedotun noted that he was equally surprised that he wasn’t cleared to contest for the position of 2nd Vice President of our great association. “I remain calm and unperturbed and I urge all my supporters to be too. Enquiry as to how we got to this point is on. We shall surely overcome. God bless us all,” he said.]]>
