The prosecutor, Sgt. Monica Ikebuilo, told the court that the two accused conspired with one other to commit the offence on Feb. 2 in Fajuyi area of Ado-Ekiti. Ikebuilo further said that Awe and Okunade threatened to kill Adetayo for being the counsel in a case against their brother. “While the counsel was discharging her duties, the accused went to her and threatened her life, saying she allowed the court to send their brother to prison on a cyber-stalking case,’’ he said. Ikebuilo urged the court for a short adjournment to enable her study the case file and assembly her witnesses‎. The offences contravened Section 517 of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2012. The two accused pleaded not guilty to the charges. The counsel to the accused, Mr Ayodele Motiru, however, urged the court to grant his clients bail on liberal terms. The Magistrate, Omolola Akosile, granted the prayer of Motiru and granted the accused bail in the sum of N50, 000 each with two sureties each in like sum and adjourned the case to Feb. 13 for hearing.]]>
