Prof. Dr. Mohamed S. Abdel Wahab

Prof. Dr. Mohamed S. Abdel Wahab is the Founding Partner & Head of the International Arbitration, Construction, Oil & Gas and Project Finance Groups. He is the Chair of Private International law and Professor of International Arbitration at Cairo University; Vice President of the ICC International Court of Arbitration; Court Member of the LCIA; President of LCIA’s Arab Users’ Council; Court member of the CIMAC, Vice President of the IBA Arbitration Committee; Member of the CIArb’s Practice and Standards Committee; Member of the CRCICA Advisory Committee; Member of AAA-ICDR International Advisory Committee; and Member of the SIAC African Users’ Council’s Committee.

Rashida Abdulai

Rashida Abdulai is a senior associate and Solicitor-Advocate within the Hogan Lovells International Arbitration practice. Rashida acts for multinational companies on complex, high-value international business disputes across a range of industry sectors including energy and natural resources, telecommunications, consumer goods, and banking and financial services. Rashida was appointed to the Africa Users Groups of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Arbitration Centre Taskforce. Hamid Abdulkareem

Hamid Abdulkareem  is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution practice of Aluko & Oyebode. His practice focus is Litigation, Arbitration and ADR. • Adekoya

Funke Adekoya, SAN, heads the dispute resolution practice group at AÉLEX. She is the Vice-President, ICC International Court of Arbitration. Funke SAN, She is a quintessential litigator and arbitrator. After graduating top of her class from the University of Ife in 1974, Funke proceeded to the Harvard Law School, where she obtained her LLM in 1977.She has nearly 40 years’ experience in commercial litigation and corporate dispute resolution. She is involved in acting as co-counsel with London-based firms to represent international oil companies in an arbitration dispute in the upstream energy sector. Funke is currently an adviser to offshore companies regarding litigation seeking to restrain offshore arbitration. Odein. H. Ajumogobia (SAN)

Odein. H. Ajumogobia (SAN) is a senior partner in the leading corporate/commercial law firm of Ajumogobia & Okeke that he co-founded in 1984. A fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb UK, 1996), a member of the Paris based ICC International Court of Arbitration and ICC International Commission on Arbitration. Ajumojgobin, SAN was the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, River state between 2003 and 2007. He was appointed Minister of State for Energy (Petroleum) and head of Nigeria’s delegation to OPEC (July 2007 to December 2008), and Minister of State for Petroleum Resources between January 2009 and April 2010 by the late President Umaru Musa Yar Adua GCFR. He was Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs during President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan GCFR tenure. He was conferred with the National honour of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) on September 6, 2010. May 5th, 2012 Mr. Ajumogobia was admitted to the degree of LL.D (honoris causa) by the Rivers State University of Science and Technology.

Olatunde Busari, SAN

Olatunde Busari, SAN, is a founding partner in the firm of Akinwunmi & Busari. He has a great wealth of knowledge on Disputes Resolution, Commercial Law practice, maritime, admiralty, protection of Intellectual Property, documentation and perfection of transactions etc. He served as a director in the Trans Nigeria Insurance Plc (1999-2003), the Nigerian Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (2006-2007) and Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria (2010-2011). Nikhil Desai

Simon Greenberg

Simon Greenberg is a Partner in Clifford Chance’s, international arbitration group France. Maryan Hassan

Maryan Hassan is the Chief Legal Adviser to the Federal Government of Somalia (Office of the Prime Minister). she serves as Chief Negotiator for Somalia’s Accession to the WTO, working in tandem with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and the Office of the President. Maryan worked at the law firm Al Tamimi & Co in Dubai, the International Chamber of Commerce in Rome and the Somali Mission to the UN in New York. She currently serves on the SIAC Africa Users’ Council in Singapore and YIAG – LCIA Africa Representative in London. Maryan is a member of the World Bank’s International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) panels of arbitrators and conciliators.

 

Tim Hardy

Tim Hardy is head of CMS‘ Commercial Litigation Team in London and deals primarily with disputes concerning finance, commerce, professional negligence, product and corporate reputations. He is a Solicitor-Advocate (Higher Courts Civil). He is a member of CEDR Select and the ICAEW’s Mediation Panels and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and Chair of the Institute’s Practice & Standards Committee. He is a member of LexisNexis’ Dispute Resolution Editorial Board.

 

 

 

Karl Hennessee

Karl Hennessee is a Senior Vice President in Airbus Group Office of General Counsel. He serves as Chairman of the Governing Body of the ICC Court of International Arbitration. Mr Hennessee was VP Public Law & Technology of Halliburton (2013-2016), VP of Litigation & Regulatory Affairs at Airbus SAS in Toulouse, France and a lecturer at the Toulouse Business School in law and public policy. Mr Hennessee is the winner of the ILO Award for Litigation “Individual of the Year” for 2009. He has published over sixty articles.
