Ayobami, who resides in Ogba, Lagos, is facing a two-count charge of obtaining under false pretences and stealing. Ayobami denied the charge. Prosecuting Inspector Simon Imhonwa said the accused committed the offences on November 16. Imhonwa said the accused obtained N2.7 million from Mrs Felicia Oketokun, promising to supply her 3,000 chickens. “He agreed to supply Oketokun 3,000 old layers in November 2015. Although he has received a full payment of N2.7 million, the accused has failed to fulfil the contract. “All attempts to get a refund have proved abortive,” he said. Chief Magistrate, Mrs Bola Osunsanmi, granted the accused N200,000 bail with two sureties in like sum. Osunsanmi said the sureties must be gainfully employed, show evidence of tax payment and have their addresses verified. She adjourned the case till July 4 for trial.]]>
