Participated at the 8th National Assembly Business Environment Roundtable in partnership with the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), UK Department For International Development (DFID), Enhancing Nigerian Advocacy for a Better Business Environment (ENABLE) and Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL).
Nigeria is taking huge strides to develop and modernise essential business laws that will improve the ease of doing business in the country, and benefit the economy.
“This is the first time the National Assembly has deliberately engaged the private sector to achieve legislative success for the stakeholders that the law reforms shall affect because there will be a consensus” said His Excellency Dr Bukola Saraki, President of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Over several breakout sessions, members of the private sector rubbed minds to recommend reforms to be implemented into law. Lagos Arbitration facilitated the session on arbitration and dispute resolution with other knowledgable ADR experts.
Other sessions addressed Competition, Roads & Infrastructure, Maritime Infrastructure, Rail Infrastructure, Public Private Partnerships, Doing Business, Finance & Investment, Consitution Review, Taxation, Ebusiness & Intellectual Property.
