The group wants the Federal High Court sitting in Enugu state to order the military out of the South-East.

A group known as the Alaigbo Development Forum (ADF) has dragged President Buhari to court over the recent military exercise in the South-East.

According to Daily Post,  the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai is also included in the suit.

ADF wants the Federal High Court sitting in Enugu state to order the military out of the South-East.

The suit which was filed on Thursday, September 14, 2017, by the group’s counsel, Max Ozoaka wants “A declaration that the action of the Defendants, especially the 1st Defendant (Buhari), in calling out, operationally engaging or deploying the armed forces of the Federation to the south eastern part of the country is illegal, unconstitutional, null and void and of no effect whatsoever.”

Meanwhile, reports say the Governor of Abia state, Okezie Ikpeazu is scheduled to meet President Buhari over the military exercise code named: Operation Python Dance II.
