The Prosecutor, Insp. Taiwo Adegoke, told the court that the accused fraudulently obtained N530,000 from Akanbi Mujidat to supply 50 bags of rice. Adegoke said samson refused to returned the complainant’s money to her knowing fully that his intention was to dupe her. He said the offence contravened sections 419 and 383 and punishable under Section 390(9) of the Criminal Code cap 34 vol.11 laws of Osun, 2003. Counsel to the defendant Olaleye Oladele applied for his bail in the most liberal terms. The Magistrate, Mr Olusola Aluko, granted bail to the accused in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in the like sum. Aluko said that the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction, attached an affidavit of means, evidence of tax payments and two passport-sized photographs.
