Rosiji and Ahluwalia are demanding N500 million as damages and another N20 million as legal cost and also an order of perpetual injunction restraining the defendants, and the agents from further publishing, or causing to be published the libelous publications. In an affidavit attached to the suit, the claimants alleged that they have been defamed by a publication titled: “$8.8bn Fraud: Lawyer Faults Briton’s Extradition Plan”, in one of the National Newspapers on June 2, 2015. The claimants have alleged that in a bid to exert undue pressure, intimidate and undermine them and forestall them from taking steps to recover the money which they alleged were unlawfully obtained by Khilnani from the company, Okunowo enlisted the Newspaper to publish statements to create false impression to the public that they (the claimants) are opportunistic and devious persons who engaged in several illegal schemes and are employing oppressive actions against Khilnani.]]>
