TheNigeriaLawyer by an undisclosed source. According to the source, it is so unfortunate and discouraging that all efforts made by Kayode Bello’s lawyers to resolve the matter between the Council of Legal Education and Mr. Kayode have been proven very abortive. The lawyer to Council of Legal Education, Mr. Obasi Nwabueze led by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Y.C. Maikyau has not been helpful in getting the issue settled once and for all for the interest of all parties as advised by court. Information reveals that on the 22nd November, 2017, Mr. Obasi Nwabueze promised to call the Applicant’s ( Kayode Bello) lawyer on the outcome of his briefing with the CLE (1st Respondent), but he failed to do so as promised. It took repeated calls from the counsel of kayode Bello to come to the conclusion of fixing date on the next meeting with Mr. Obasi Nwabueze. The source further revealed that Mr. Obasi Nwabueze never carried along the IGP’s (2nd Respondent) lawyer in the scheduled meeting of 29th November, 2017, rather it was the Mr. Kayode’s lawyer that informed the 2nd Respondent counsel on the date fixed by the 1st Respondent for the reconciliation process. As revealed, on the scheduled date for the reconciliation meeting, lawyer to the second Respondent on getting to the agreed venue which happens to be the office of the 1st Respondent’s counsel unfortunately met no one except kayode Bello’s lawyer, Chinenye Joy Mgbeokwere, Esq who was also waiting. Counsel to the 2nd Respondent had no choice than to leave after waiting for Mr. Obasi Nwabueze to no avail. Chinenye Joy Mgbeokwere, Esq was reported to have sent a message to Mr. Obasi Nwabueze that she will be at his office by 11 am for the reconciliation but she was only disappointed when Mr. Obasi Nwabueze neither replied her message nor called to reschedule the meeting. Kayode Bello is said to be devastated with the whole show. According to the source’s account, Mr. Kayode has expressed his loss of confidence and trust in the ongoing reconciliation process in the case. TheNigerialawyer recalls that aside the advice given by Justice Mohammed of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on November 22nd, 2017, directing the parties to reconcile, Hon. Justice Quadri of FHC, Abuja had earlier advised that the parties to reconcile before reassigning the matter. ]]>
