JUST IN: Buhari extends tenure of Service Chiefs

All the Service Chiefs are due for retirement. A statement on Monday by the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, said the President approved the extension based on the various ongoing military operations in the country. Those benefitting from the tenure extension are General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin, the Chief of Defence Staff; Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, Chief of Army Staff; Vice Admiral Ibok-EteIkwe Ibas, the Chief of Naval Staff; and Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar, the Chief of Air Staff.
