The Bauchi State Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has demoted two Khadis, just as it warned some others who were found guilty of committing various offences.

A statement signed by the secretary of the Commission, Farouk Umar Sarki on Friday stated that the committee arrived at the decision to discipline the judges after a meeting on Thursday, February 22, 2018.

According to the statement, the Upper Shari’a Court Khadis, Burhama Musa Liman, was downgraded from Grade Level 15 to Grade Level 14, removed as a judge and reverted to the Registrar cadre. A lower Shari’a court Khadi, Musa Mohammed Gimsa, was also removed as a judge and made a registrar.

The statement added that warning letters were issued to Upper Shari’ah Court Khadis Adamu Baba Ahmed, Abdullahi Mohammed and Adamu Mohammed Jahun.

A committee was also constituted to investigate a petition against Magistrate Mohammed Bacci Aliyu, while a query was issued to Shari’ah Court Khadi Ahmed Fateh Kafi.

The statement further stated that two Lower Shari’ah Court Khadis, Sani Musa and Munkaila Sabo, were made Upper Shari’ah Court Khadis.
