The summon follows a protest by a coalition of civil society organisations in Benue state over the bribery allegations. They alleged that the executive chairman of the Benue State Board Of Internal Revenue was assaulted on Tuesday, by the head of the IGP X-Squad, Mr Olukayode, who was said to have demanded the sum. The group, therefore, demanded the proscription of the IGP X-Squad, for alleged extortion, kidnapping of tax agents and serial collection of revenue.
