Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Caretaker Committee, Senator Ahmed Makarfi said five attempts at stopping the party’s non-elective convention through the courts failed.

The convention is scheduled to hold today in Abuja.

Speaking at the opening session of the 75th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Friday night in Abuja, ‎Makarfi said, “we have very serious issues to discuss. There were four or five attempts to stop this convention.”

He however, didn’t give details.

Chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT), Senator Walid Jibrin said, “The PDP will never die.”
