Report reaching TheNigerialawyer from a source reveals that the policy in the Federal High Court with respect to the seizure of phones and other communication gadgets of Lawyers by security officers during sittings have been reversed barely a week after a petition was written to the Chief Judge to that effect.
TheNigerialawyer recalls that Inibehe Effiong Esq, a Lagos based Lawyer and principal in the Law firm of Inibehe Effiong Chambers had earlier written a petition to the Chief Justice of the Federal High Court, over the seizure of phones and communication gadgets by Security officers at the entrance of the court.
Though no official statement has been released so far from the FHC, it is crystal clear that if confirmed true, legal practitioners will no longer be subjected to the contact interrogation by Security officers at the entrance of the court.
