The Honourable Chief Judge of Lagos State, Hon. Justice Kazeem O. Alogba, has again given directives on new measures to curtail the spread of the Coronavirus virus Pandemic in the Lagos State Judiciary.

The Notice of the directive which was signed by the Chief Registrar, Mrs. D. T. Olatokun dated 25th March, 2020 and made available to TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL), discloses that the period of work hours for essential staff/Senior Staff of the Lagos State Judiciary on grade level 13 and above has been reduced to 10:00am to 2:00pm Monday to Friday.

The Notice further reads:

“Staff in these categories are advised to stay at home if they feel unwell or have been overseas in the past 14 days or been in contact with anyone who has been overseas in the past 14 days. The Chief Registrar is however to be informed immediately.

“Visitors who have urgent court business to transact will be attended to between the hours of 10:00am and 1:00pm

“Physical distancing and hygiene measures must be adhered to strictly.

“The above directive shall commence from the 26th day of March, 2020 and continue for an initial period of 14 days or until further directive is issued”
