Ezekiel Chibuko was charged with criminal intimidation, an offence that contradicts Section 397 of the Penal Code. The prosecutor, Babajide Olanipekun, told the court that the complainant, Innocent Chibuko of same address, on January 2, reported at Dutsen Alhaji police station that the accused, on the previous day, told him to vacate his shop for him or be ready to die within one month. Olanipekun said the accused, a university drop-out had earlier rejected a shop paid for him by the complainant to set up a supermarket, insisting on taking over the one the father was managing. According to the prosecutor, the accused confessed to have threatened to kill the complainant during police investigation. When the charge was read to the accused, he pleaded guilty and was remanded in prison custody by the judge, Mohammed Marafa. The judgement was adjourned till January 18 for hearing.]]>
