In a mail sent out to successful applicants earlier this week, the lucky winners are told to prepare for the second stage of the competition, they will be required to attend a 3-month online training that will further improve their business skills, enable them develop an effective business model and prepare them to access the Bank of Industry loan. The online course is intensive and will require commitment as only 70% of those from this stage will proceed to the one week in-class training before being absorbed into the BOI pipeline as preferred applicants for the loan. ABOUT BOI YES PROGRAM The YES Programme is an initiative of the federal government and the Bank of Industry to tackling unemployment in the country which is expected to generate 36,000 jobs for the nation. The YES Programme is also part of the federal government’s drive and wealth creation programme which is aimed at addressing the malaise of youth unemployment. The programme is targeted at young aspiring entrepreneurs within the age range of 18-35 years, who have a minimum educational qualification of Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or its equivalents.
