Arthur Obi Okafor (SAN) condemns Anambra church massacre

The Learned Silk in his statement added that “in recent times, Anambra State has enjoyed relative peace and security, hence the shock and disbelief experienced in the wake of this terrible news.” He further stated that “all well-meaning and peace loving indigenes and residents of Anambra state must condemn this criminality and murderous desecration of a place of worship without equivocation.” He therefore “call on the Commissioner of Police, Anambra Police Command, the Director of State Security Services, the Executive Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, the Inspector-General of Police and indeed all law enforcement agents to beef up security in the State, now more than ever.” “All stakeholders must double their efforts to ensure that this ugly incident is properly investigated and the perpetrators promptly fished out and dealt with,” Arthur Obi-Okafor added.
