On December 23, 2017, Our reporter witnessed an incident when a passenger beat up a female official at the local terminal over flight delays. Arik Air however expressed worry over the incessant attacks even as it decried the failure of Aviation Security personnel of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and other security agencies at the airport to bring the unruly passengers to order. The Public Relations and Communication Manager of Arik Air, Mr. Adebanji Ola disclosed that the airline would pursue legal action against passengers who attack its officials. It blamed the delay on the scarcity of aviation fuel, adding that the airline did its best to minimize the impact.]]>
