This was disclosed in a letter written by the Dadinkowa Chambers on behalf of their clients and addressed to the Regional Sales Manager of Arik Air Limited. The four lawyers are asking for the refund of N160,000 that was paid the company for their air fare. TheNigerialawyer recalls that before the commencement of NBA conference, Arik Air had written a letter dated the 1st day of August 2017 tagged “Special fare for NBA/Young Lawyers Association to the NBA 2017 Conference in Lagos”, after which a discounted fare was made available for young lawyers to book their place in the Conference. The four legal practitioners took advantage of the offer and paid the sum of N40,000 each for their respective flight. However, the company unilaterally excluded Maiduguri International Airport where the four had booked, thereby amounting to a breach of Contract. On request, the four had forwarded their accounts details to the company for a refund but all to no avail. Subsequently it was reported that all efforts to also reach the Company through phone calls and other means proved abortive. The four have therefore given Arik Air seven days to refund the monies by paying them into a provided account; failure, which will lead to a legal suit against them. Copied to the letter are The Minister of State for Aviation, The General Manager, FAAN Headquarters, and The Group Desk Manager, Arik Air Limited.]]>
