Anambra State University Uli- by David Okezie PLEASE INTRODUCE YOURSELF. I am Jennifer Nkechinyere Ekwerekwu. Miss Ofala 2015, I am currently a 300-level law student of the Anambra State University, Igabriam in Anambra State. I come from a family of four. My parent is a lawyer. I am 21 years. IT IS OBVIOUS NOW THAT YOU ARE THE 2015/2016 MISS OFALA. HOW WILL YOU DESCRIBE THE EXPERIENCE? It was an interesting experience. I was actually given the opportunity to be in the same environment with other lovely ladies from diverse backgrounds. It was wonderful and fantastic because at the end, I came out top. HOW DID THE IDEA OF CONTESTING FOR THE CROWN COME? Well, this idea of beauty contests, once you hear of it, you become pessimistic, because of the rumours surrounding it. But what actually triggered my interest in this in this particular pageant was the organisation behind it. Also, it dwells solely on intellect. You have to be very intelligent to survive in the game. And it equally gives the opportunity to be a good ambassador of the youth. Nobody, I just decided to give it a try. HOW MUCH EFFORT DID YOU PUT TO GET TO THIS POSITION? Actually, we didn’t go for camping, it was a one day job. We really stressed ourselves looking for attires. I putted all my efforts on what I had and what I could give so as to come out top. HOW ARE YOU ENJOYING IT NOW? Wow… (Laughs)… I’m enjoying it. But part of it is stressful. LET’S TALK ABOUT YOUR LOVE LIFE; ARE YOU IN A RELATIONSHIP RIGHT NOW? (Laughs)… Well, I’m single for now but I’m not searching. WHO ARE YOUR ROLE MODELS? The best among my role models is my mum. She supports me with everything she has, and she supports my dreams and aspirations. She always there to give me the trust, believing I know what I am doing. I also look up to Tyler Banks when it comes to modelling. ARE YOU INTO ANY PROJECT THAT KEEPS YOU BUSY RIGHT NOW? (Laughs)… hmmm… I don’t have anything for now. But I’m looking at a pet project on youths and drug abuse in the society. It is a project aimed at helping to eradicate drugs abuse among the youth. WHEN ARE WE TO EXPECT THIS PROJECT? Hmmm… Let say by next year. WHO IS JENNIFER? (Laughs)… I’m a very real person. I am also very exciting as well. Being with me is fun because i feel that life is too short to be anything but happy. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME. You are welcome.
