The new judges, comprising three men and a female, have swelled the number of judges in the state judiciary to 35. They are Hon. Justice Chizaram Alfredo Anyim, Hon. Justice Kenneth Chidi Okereke, Hon. Justice Livingstone Chibuike Eruba and Hon. Justice Kingsley Chukwudi Nwankwo. Ikpeazu gave his charge to the new judges immediately after the oath of office and allegiance was administered on them by the solicitor-general, Enyinnaya Okezie, “You are to be the mouth-piece and defender of the poorest of the poor and downtrodden in the society,” he said. While reminding the new judges that the task of adjudicating in cases is enormous, the governor urged them to be fair, firm and courageous in the discharge of their duties, adding that the judges must strive to leave behind good legacies..]]>
